Today we’re releasing a new campaign video that tells a more personal story about Lonnie and the South Jersey community that shaped him.

This video focuses on Lonnie’s hometown of Cherry Hill and the experiences that influenced his decision to run for Congress.

Like many families across the region, Lonnie saw firsthand both the strengths of South Jersey communities and the challenges they face.

If you want to help bring new leadership to South Jersey, please share the video and help spread the word.

Today we’re releasing a new campaign video that shows something more personal than policy or politics. It’s about where I grew up and the community that shaped me.

In the video, I spend the day traveling across Cherry Hill, where I grew up. It’s where I went to school, played sports, rode my bike, and learned what community really means. It’s a town with great public schools, great people, and a level of diversity that helped shape how I see the world.

Growing up here meant being surrounded by people from every background: rich and poor, different races, religions, and cultures. That diversity teaches you something important early in life: our differences don’t weaken us, they make us stronger.

Cherry Hill is not some ultra-wealthy enclave. It’s a normal middle-class American suburb. But it has good schools, safe neighborhoods, and a strong community. And that raises an important question:

Why shouldn’t every child in America get the same opportunity?

Unfortunately, that’s not the reality everywhere in our district.

The First District includes communities like Camden, where roughly 14% of children have elevated lead levels in their blood—a lifelong health problem caused by environmental neglect. That’s unacceptable.

This campaign is about making sure every child has access to good schools, safe communities, and the opportunity to succeed—no matter where they are born.

That’s the America we should be building.

Watch the video and share it with others if you believe every community deserves the same chance to thrive.
