Today our campaign released a new video - The ACTUAL Welfare Queens: A Parody Song About The Real Leeches on Society
For decades, politicians have pushed the idea that struggling Americans receiving small amounts of government assistance are the biggest “leeches” on society. That narrative has been repeated so often that many people simply accept it without questioning who actually benefits the most from our economic system.
This video uses satire to challenge that idea.
The reality is that while ordinary Americans fight over relatively small social programs, massive subsidies, tax breaks, and government handouts routinely flow to wealthy corporations and powerful insiders. Our political and economic systems are working exactly as they were designed. The problem is they weren’t designed for most people.
Our campaign believes voters deserve an honest conversation about how the system actually works and who it actually benefits. Sometimes the best way to start that conversation is through humor.
This video is part of our broader effort to highlight economic inequality, corruption in politics, and the ways our current system prioritizes powerful interests over working people.
